Interactive historical mystery
One monastery. One mystery. One investigation board.
Totana 1578 is a historical deduction game: observe, gather clues, connect them and reach your own conclusions.
The player explores the monastery of Santa Eulalia in search of evidence. You examine objects, consult documents, detect contradictions, solve keys and connect scattered information until a coherent explanation of the mystery can be reconstructed.
Progress is not based on speed or action, but on attention. A letter, a door, a tool, an absence or a small change in a room may be the missing piece.
The investigation advances through missions. Each mission proposes specific tasks and objectives: exploring an area, locating a document, examining an object, solving a key or completing an action that unlocks new information.
Completing objectives allows the player to obtain clues, open new lines of investigation and understand the events more clearly. Some tasks are direct; others require interpreting previous information or combining evidence found in different parts of the monastery.
Progress is not about collecting objects, but about building knowledge: each mission adds context, reveals hidden connections and brings the player closer to the truth.
Move through the monastery, inspect spaces and pay attention to objects, doors, marks and documents.
Locate relevant data: letters, symbols, routines, changes, silences and absences.
Link clues that, on their own, may seem incomplete, secondary or even contradictory.
Interpret what has been discovered and build a provisional explanation of the facts.
Overcome small logical challenges integrated into the investigation itself.
Understand new relationships and move closer to the truth hidden behind the events of 1578.
The monastery is not a backdrop: it is the structure of the mystery. Its rooms, objects, documents and events form a network of relationships that the player must organize.
The investigation takes place within its walls, but many clues point towards external events. Understanding the inside also requires reconstructing what happened outside.
Every room preserves memories. Every object tells a story. Every document can change everything.
Letters, records and manuscripts may confirm, contradict or open new lines of deduction.
A utensil, a key or a tool may reveal uses, intentions or hidden movements.
Marks, shadows, doors, traces and absences are also part of the monastery's language.
Totana 1578 is designed for players who enjoy observing, comparing information and reaching conclusions by themselves. The satisfaction is not in receiving an answer, but in discovering why that answer makes sense.
The adventure combines fiction and historical context to create a believable experience, where every element of the monastery may have narrative or deductive value.
Totana 1578 was born as an inclusive and accessible experience, conceived from its origins so that people with visual or hearing disabilities, as well as any player, can participate on equal terms in the process of investigation and discovery.
